Grew up in the 70's and 80's but I mostly listened to The Beatles, then bands like Robyn Hitchcock, Psychedelic Furs, Talking Heads, and New Order. Started to get into punk music in the early to mid 80's with a focus on skate punk bands like The Dead Milkmen, but also The Dead Kennedy's and similar bands. About the same time I was also starting to listen to a lot of Roots Reggae like Peter Tosh and Bob Marley. As the 80's progressed I became interested in Death Metal and Speed Metal, like Slayer, Metallica, Agnostic Front, and Anthrax. Over time I got into house music, primarily 90's Disco House.
Today I listen to pretty much everything except modern country (old country like Johnny Cash is fine with me), Christian rock (an oxymoron), and Classical. You'll find I tend to favor lot of reggae, rocksteady, roots, funk, funk house, disco house, 70's rock, etc. Bottom line, I like a LOT of differing genre's of music.
