For many years I followed the Jazz legends of the 50' and 60' until I heard music from musicians and bands I had never heard of. This sudden change of musical direction was all due to one man, David Freeman. David was a presenter on London based Jazz FM back in the late 1990's and played one hour of World Music each week, allowing listeners like myself to be introduced to the likes of Rabih Abou-Khalil, Jan Garbarek, Abdullah Ibrahim, Dean Fraser, Joe Zawinul and Richard Galliano to name just a few.
