Last year we discovered a couple of great Bubbling tracks from The Hague-based producer God Full Effect (Guillermo Schuurman) who turned out to be the very same guy who made a name for himself in the Dutch club circuit around 2008 as 'De Schuurman' at age 17, alongside his cousins Shaun-D and Master-D. De Schuurman is known for his frenetic killer track 'Nu Ga Je Dansen', among other things.
Whereas Guillermo's current God Full Effect alias is all about versatility (Rap productions, almost gothic Chill Trap and other styles), the late 2000s sound of his alter ego De Schuurman occupies the same musical twilight zone known as Bubbling House that was also cultivated by his aforementioned cousins and producers like Anti-G – a sound that layered manic Caribbean drum loops over Fruity Loops synths. In our bid to honour this awesome sound at our events, we booked God Full Effect for a set at a Pantropical on the 6th of July 2019. Here's the edit of his blistering DJ mix that night.
