3phaz is a Cairo-based artist whose creative output shows a love for heavy bass, distortion. His own productions, which he describes as 'Post-Shaabi', explore the raw energy of Shaabi music, taking it a step further. Others have made comparisons to the sensory overload one encounters in the streets of Cairo, where motorbikes and rickshaws fly by, blasting Shaabi through busted speakers. His mix for Pantropical contains high-octane, percussive club music.
