Derozan is a Rotterdam-based DJ whose spellbinding sets navigate between the contemporary electronic avant-garde and experimental sounds from different times and parts of the world.
Next to countless cratedigging sessions and music blog explorations, he sees his travels through Japan and his involvement in Tokyo's underground (where he DJed between 2013 and 2016 at bars such as Bonobo and Forestlimit) as pivotal for his approach to mixing.
This mix -which Derozan dubs 'global dance suspense'- ranges from acoustic folk to percussive noise and raw emotional beats. Unfiltered and slow burning moods are conjured up with the intent to keep the underground scene alive.
