Caracas born, New York City (The Bronx) raised and residing in Miami since the early 80’s, DJ QUAD (Carlos Castillo) has a love for all things influenced by the sounds of house music. Inspired by the people and culture from the early days of house, the soulful sounds of funk and the uplifting disco vibes, it was clear that dance music would forever be a part of his life, be it only as a hobby. Deciding to immerse himself into the local vinyl DJ community, he was welcomed by DJ’s and music lovers that share this passion. Hours of late night jam sessions evolved into DJ’ing in events hosted by local vinyl record enthusiast, such as The Vinyl Social Club, Rhythm & Remedies, PRL Lounge Hollywood, Los Negros at 1-800-Lucky and The Love Tempo at ATV/Melindas (formerly The Electric Pickle), Joltradio and Dante's HiFi (Miami's 1st vinyl only listening bar). Record digging is now a cultural part of his life, taking advantage of travel opportunities to explore record stores worldwide.
