Matthew aka DJ Way is a Chicago native and Juilliard trained musician with more than two decades of experience behind the decks. He developed deep musical roots from stints in New York City, Miami, and Detroit and currently resides in Elgin, IL. Matthew pulls inspiration from disco, funk, and soul and shapes his housey vibe with funky beats, jazzy bass lines, and soulful vocals that keep dance floors ablaze.

Matthew's most notable residencies were at Float, Sin Sin, Dyckman Bar, and The Empire Hotel in New York City and Laundry Bar, the Whitelaw Hotel, Sixx Lounge, and Blue - the most unpretentious home for house music - in South Beach, Miami.
