As a kid, just eight years old in 1994, a friend let me hear a cassette tape of 'Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)'. This was the very first time real hiphop music entered my reality and it touched my soul.
Ever since this first encounter, this rhythmic, highly expressive, energizing, subversive and rebellious music became part of my life. My love for hiphop as a fan, collector and listener continues to grow every day.
I think real hiphop music can educate and empower people. To me, real MC's are as street journalists who use creative lyrics, flow and rhyming skills to report on reality from their own perspective.
Today, this type of real hiphop gets hardly any airplay on the radio. Real hiphop music is now censored and suppressed throughout all our commercial media.
This made me want to help promote REAL HIPHOP by contributing material as an rapping artist, video maker, music producer and DJ.
Underground 1990's real hip-hop DJ mixes for your soul.
Love, peace and enjoy.
