Steve Thorpe started mixing tunes at home when he was 18 and first started DJingin Manchesters bars and clubs in 1996. Playing an eclectic mix of broken beats. In 1997, Steve joined Tangled and turned the upstairs chillout room of a house and trance night into the longest running breakbeat night in the UK...if not the world - Tangled Breaks. Running weekly, then twice monthly and then quarterly for over 14 years. Steve has warmed up and played alongside nearly all the best breaks DJs and producers in the UK. After Tangled stopped regular events in 2008 he started his own night - Carry On which then turned into Lowdown and Dirty... which is now the best breaks clubnight in Manchester. Steve still plays for Tangled Breaks for big one-off events. The next HUGE party is Tangled 18th Birthday - Friday 2nd September 2011.
