Calypso and soca has a rich history. The first calypso recordings were made in 1914 - four years before the first jazz records were cut. There have been a couple of golden periods - the 1930s and the 1950s. Calypso has also been influential in the development of music in west Africa. My passion is to spread the word. Each week I'll upload my regular Sunday morning show on Radio Cardiff - representing, entertaining and educating. Blessings t'all yah limers.
