Welcome to Affinity Sessions - a series of music selections dedicated to my friends! I often think about the relationship between music and friendship – the deep connection that exists between character and something as personal as music taste. I want to explore this bond not only as an ode to shared experiences, but to create the possibility to make memories with others through shared musical affinity.
Friends have taken me all around the globe, and so I expect this series to do the same, reflecting my many years and deep love of digging. I hope you’ll enjoy the journey and in turn be reminded of somebody close to you.
Just as smells can trigger a memory, for me, there are nuances in music that inspire thoughts of a particular person, so this is my way to pay tribute to some truly awesome people. I hope you also come to know them a little through these mixes and find some great company.
