The winner of the 2017 Jazz fm Awards “Live Performance of the year’. In both 2015 & 2018 he received a top 12 placing in the Critics Poll for the leading industry Jazz magazine" Downbeat" in the ‘Vibraphonist of the year’ category. The first time a musician from the UK has achieved this accolade. One of the few musicians from the UK to have been signed to the historic Jazz Label ‘Blue Note Records'.
A founder member of the Brit funk band "Savanna" & “The Jazz Warriors” Orchestra.Orphy has worked with many high profile Jazz & Classical artists like Violinist Nigel Kennedy/Courtney Pine. He has appeared as a guest soloist or session musician on over 100 albums. Robinson has written for Orchestras,Film,TV,Opera & Dance.
He has producer credits for Carleen Anderson, Nigel Kennedy amongst others. He also serves as a Trustee on various arts organisations & boards.
