Stockholm weather has me fluctuating between "oh christ its winter soon I'M NOT READY" & "oh damn son it's still sunny OUTDOOR TIME!!!". So for this September edition I wanted to celebrate this last push of shimmering summer rays with some tropical, breezy & synthy grooves that I've been bumping regularly this past month featuring a big slice of Brazilian jams. A bit of everything here from sultry bossa nova to booty shaking Italo disco & thumpin' 70s New York funk.
Mix cover lovingly nicked from Jorge Santana's gorgeous 1978 self titled album. Absolutely perfect gem of a funk/pop record from start to finish, with 'Darling I Love You' being my fav of the lot which is why it closes this mix. Everything about this track makes me go into full cartoon heart eyes mode. The vocals and guitar riffs on this motherfucker are so fucking jammy I could listen to it on loop for days. Seriously, seriously beautiful stuff.
