Tighter than a martinet's time table: Sardinian supremos Kut Funk lay down two new originals for Sound Exhibitions. "Free Cycles" is a slippery loop-based jam driven by a juicy bass lick, steady rim-shots, occasional blasts of soaking synths, warm organs and crisp-but- dreamy guitars. "Dinner Funk" is slightly slower in tempo and heavier in rhythm. Loaded with jazzy angularities and Booker T weight organs, it tastes as good the name suggests. Tuck in.
