Moved to New York City as a teenager to meet Andy Warhol. Left New York the year Warhol passed and the Paradise Garage closed and began practicing Buddhism of the Nichiren lineage as propagated by the Soka Gakkai International. I went back to New York the year Warhol protege, Keith Haring passed and started Cafe con Leche, as an extension of Keith Haring's legacy. I wake each day to repay my debt of gratitude I owe to my secular mentors, Warhol, Basquiat and Haring by attempting to explore, understand and expand their mission.

Concurrently I show my appreciation to my Buddhist spiritual lineage through my daily practice and through the actions that reflect my Buddhist practice, to the best of my ability!

“I think having land and not ruining it is the most beautiful art that anybody could ever want to own"...Andy

"Art is for Everybody. Art liberates the soul, provokes the imagination and encourages people to go further. It celebrates humanity"...Keith
