Shagz spins a varied mix of breaks and house, criss-crossing moods from funky to techy, deep 'n soulful to full-on electro bangers. Throw in some golden age hip hop, vintage funk 'n soul, blunted down tempo and the occasional drum 'n bass or prog house track and you have the perfect mix.
Shagz has opened for a variety of artists such as The Crystal Method, Uberzone, David Usher, and My Brilliant Beast, as well as playing around Toronto at industry events like the Toronto International Film Festival and Reel Asian Film Festival. Shagz has taught at the Off Centre DJ School (www.offcentredj.com) as a way to give back to the community, promote the art of djing and inspire music lovers, young and old, to share their passion using the ones and twos.
