Huruma

"Huruma" is swahili for "compassion", and there was much "ngoma" (swahili for "dance") the evening I dj'd at Bassline in Toronto for a fundraiser for AIDS Care. AIDS Care is a project connected with MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) that collects materials, provides training and puts together kits for volunteers who take care of AIDS patients in sub-saharan African countries like Lesotho, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. In the end we raised over $600!! Thanks to everyone who came out to the event!
