My name is Rodney (a.k.a. DJ Scholar) and I'm from Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Deejaying is an old hobby of mine and my music genre preferences are in Old School Dancehall and Reggae. However, since I am not a 'Play-it-Safe Deejay', I don't mind experimenting with hip hop, pop, K-pop, disco, soul and a healthy variety of alternative musical perspectives.

I started out deejaying for CJSF 90.1FM at Simon Fraser University in 2001 and then I deejayed in South Korean clubs in Seoul for six years while I was working as an English Teacher. I enjoy producing mashups, but now I like creating themed playlists in my free time. I hope you enjoy my selections of music and find them truly recreational.
