Born 1961, arrived in Washington, D.C. September 1982, first time at the Saint was T'giving Party, Nov 1982. I was 22 years old and military. The friend who took me to the Saint became my partner, we were together until 1990. As members, we attended all parties and on weekends as schedules allowed until January 1986, when I was transferred to Panama. My last time at the Saint was Christmas Party 1985.
In so many ways, the Saint defined the person I am today. While there are many memories, and many experiences not remembered, the brotherhood is the most significant memory I cling to and the one, through the music, that I will take into the next life.
I have since retired from the military (2003) and have obtained a masters and doctorate in nursing. I now teach. And married my best friend in 2013, three years after we met. Life is great. Stay healthy, strong, and always remember and celebrate the music.
