Panhandle Records is the brainchild of some of the City’s favorite DJs: Jonny Phelps (DJ Jonene), Tasho Nicolopulos, and Eliga Mayhew. The trio started the label in 1997 in San Francisco as a way to support local and upcoming DJs. At its highpoint in 2004, Panhandle was home to up and coming artists from around the world with 15 vinyl releases. Around that time, Jonny decided it was time to make a new home for house in Austin, Texas.

After taking some time to travel, explore the world, and fine tune his craft, Jonny has listened to Panhandle fans pleas to bring the music back! Now is the ideal time to begin supporting local DJs again with this new, electrifying version of Panhandle Records. And he’s not going at it alone… Panhandle is delighted to welcome Texas native DJ/Producer John Pridgen and David, DJ Spoon, Gauthier into the Panhandle fold.
