I was a prominent DJ, events producer and party promoter in Vancouver in the 80's & 90's. As well as hosting underground events, I first worked the decks at Faces, a legendary gay club which closed in 1985. With the opening of Graceland in 1986, I became one of the Vancouver's top club DJ's, introducing hip-hop and house to the Vancouver scene while continuing to host events in back alley lofts. After Graceland, I introduced the rave scene to Vancouver in the early 90’s, spinning all-night techno in abandoned warehouses. In 1992 I launched Vancouver's first weekly techno club night – Chaise Lounge at the Odyssey. I retired from the club and music scene in 2001 after a successful five-year run with ElectroLush Lounge, a weekly queer “Cocktail Nation” club night. Here I unleashed my long-time love of space-age bachelor pad music and cheesy hits from the 60’s to a devoted crowd. It was the perfect swansong for a career dedicated to bringing people together and making them dance.
