Influenced by masters including Hot Mix 5, Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Mark Farina, and Derrick Carter as well as DJ Sneak, Cajmere, DJ Colette, DJ Heather, DJ Psycho-Bitch, 3 Degrees, Doc Martin, DJ Spen, and DJ Oji, to name a few, DJ XEL looks to innovate new sounds while staying well-grounded in the history and legacy of Chicago house music.
