Kako Ozaki, known professionally as DJ Annie X, grew up surrounded by dance music. When she was in elementary school, her father opened one of the very first full-scale discos in Japan, Crazy Horse, in the heart of Osaka’s entertainment district.

Crazy Horse eventually expanded into a hugely successful nationwide chain of discos and nightclubs. By the time she was in junior high school, she was selecting music for the clubs, spending countless hours combing through new dance music releases sent to her family’s discos by record labels from around the world.

After spending most of her adult life running education-related companies, she made the decision to return to the world that runs deepest through her veins and closest to her heart: the world of music.

In addition to DJing, she is now diving into the world of composition and production in her seaside studio in western Kansai.
