Originally from Chicago, I grew up during the birth of what is called House music and was fascinated by the Hot Mix 5, listening to WBMX. When I left Chicago I vowed that I was going to teach myself how to mix because no radio or clubs were doing what Chicago was doing, mixing on the radio. So I bought a couple of turntables and a mixer, went to work, came home every day and spent all night learning how to mix. See the music blended in my head with ease, so all I had to do was close my eyes and do what came naturally. I later started to DJ with a friend from Virginia who was one of the best DJs I ever worked with, he could scratch and cut, we killed the club and introduce a different sound to northern California. I still get my groove on, mostly House music, it's my roots, so I never stray far away, but I can mix anything, although Hip Hop has lost it for me, not like the late 80s and 90s...mubble rap is just not my thing. Enjoy my mixes.
