I was active as an underground and club DJ in the greater SF Bay Area from approximately 1994 through 2005, as far north as Mendocino County and as far south as Monterey County, from the Pacific Ocean to the Sierra Foothills. Usually appearing on flyers simply as Drew, or sometimes as DJDrew. Played countless parties with local luminaries of the scene including Jeno, Garth, Markie, Thomas, Simon, Tracy, Buck and others. Threw down sets at a multitude of fascinating and even legendary spots ranging from the Acme Warehouse to Club Townsend, from Harbin Hot Springs to the Esalen Institute, and guerrilla-style gatherings in the Santa Cruz mountains and all along the Northern California coast. Co-operated and promoted a number of weekly club nights for extended runs. Since 2005 I have been on hiatus from active duty, but not a single record has been sold from the collection. Music of many genres remains a passion to this day, and I have occasionally been spotted back behind the decks...
