I grew up in Manchester in the 1980's and like so many others had my musical tastes influenced by what I was hearing in the Hacienda and other clubs of that era... It was House, (mostly US based) with a nod to Disco.

It was in Ibiza where I witnessed how music can enhance different social situations. Whether you are sat in contemplation, having lunch with friends or in a club or party. I use this concept to categorise my mixes as follows:

Morning sessions - Usually ambient and downtempo. Music to gaze at the horizon as you enjoy your morning coffee. .

Lunchtime sessions - Music to socialise to.. These are eclectic in nature and usually build in tempo/energy as the lunch progresses and the drinks flow.

Disco sessions - Mostly vocal driven with the objective of getting the party started.

Late sessions - The wrong side of the evening.. More tech based and higher tempo/energy.

In my mixes I try to blend genres, old with new and most importantly have fun!

Enjoy!
