Dj Cypher was born and raised in New York City. His love of music stems from all the different kinds of music he grew up with. He was raised listening to everything from Motown,70's rock,Funk,disco,80's r&b and the beginnings of hip hop and rap. He moved to Fort Collins Colorado after high school where he attended Colorado State University.
While at school at CSU he worked as a bouncer at C.B. Potts. A DJ position opened up and with no experience he was given the opportunity to become a resident. He has held down residencies in Fort Collins for the better part of the last 19 years. His Residencies include such Fort Collins staples as C.B. Potts,Zydeco's,The Matrixx,The Avenue,The Drunken Monkey,Connor O'neils,Tony's and Wall Street. He also held residencies at C.B. Potts Westminister and A.F. Rays in Greeley. In 2001 Cypher's Rhythms Mobile Entertainment Service was realized. DJ Cypher is always looking for new places to display his love of music through the art of DJing!
