Wes Idell is a deep house enthusiast, first and foremost. He got involved in the dance music scene as a listener early in life by playing his parents disco vinyl over and over.
He fell in love with house music in the mid 1980s with songs like Kevin Aviance's "Din Da Da", Paul Hardcastle's "19" and MARRS' "Pump Up the Volume", the only EDM he could hear in rural East Tennessee.
College years brought a new experience to Wes, as he fell in love with the dance music scene that was happening in Johnson City, TN. He quickly found some heavily used 1200s via eBay, and the DJing began.
In 2002 he started playing some of his first gigs - held a residency in his home town, played warm up spots for international DJs.
Finally it was time to start a family and take on an 8-5 job, which limited his time behind the decks for a few years.
A new job in 2007 left him with time to produce and get back into DJing.
In 2011, he has 2 planned releases, a podcast, and gigs around Knoxville, TN.
