Úchèńnà Ogbújí, poet and spoken word performer. A lifetime obsession with music had him DJing as a teen in Nigeria (cassettes, vinyl & borrowed mixers). Started relearning the craft (plus production) during the COVID quarantine winter.

Born in Calabar, Nigeria and settled in Boulder after much world wandering. Engineer by education, software developer & entrepreneur by trade, poetry and music are his true loves. His book Ndewo, Colorado, is a Colorado Book Award Winner. His forthcoming book, Ńchéfù Road is winner of the Christopher Smart Prize in the UK. Work published worldwide, and featured in the Best New African Poets anthology, fuses Igbo culture, European classicism, American Mountain West setting, and Hip-Hop, often exploring afrofuturist themes. @uogbuji on twitter. His poetry/music/video project (see YouTube), Easy Words, offers a minority immigrant perspective on the #BlackLivesMatter protests of 2020.
