Yung Slotr

Born and raised bay area native Strother Benson a.k.a. Yung Slotr began playing electronic keyboards from a very early age. After years of extensive classical foundation, he moved in with a master jazz organist where he underwent rigorous musical training that galvanized his grasp of chord theory and structure. While completing his degree in 3d animation at the AAU in San Francisco, he began sharing his musical creations locally, and soon joined an experimental hip-hop collective called ‘the Writerz Guild’. Shortly after, reuniting with his old friend and seasoned producer DNAE, they began to collaborate on music and ideas for the future.
Through a series of experiments and meetings, Strother understood his true calling was to combine his passion for technology, light and sound to create transformative experiences that relentlessly aim to transport the audience to another dimension of color and vibration.
