Sig Valax creates hybrid music using the Perséphone and analog and modular synthesizers. She is interested in oscillator tensions, combinations of sound flows, analog glitches, and values a tactile relationship with synthesizers to provoke overdrives and distortions. She composes organic pieces where the hum of machines embodies itself in granular, shimmering, noisy sequences.
She attended electroacoustic composition courses at the Conservatoire de Pantin (DEM), produces radio pieces (ARTE Radio), and creates sound designs for theater with Marc E. Soriano (Un qui veut Traverser, 22). Since 2016, she has been creating music - with the trio Vierge Noir e - for choreographer Anna Gaïotti (Les antécédentes, 20-23, A kiss without lips, 21-22). She participates in performances with Camille Lacroix (Transformateur destiné à utiliser les petites énergies gaspillées, 24), and explores improvised music with Vierge Noire, Elek Ember, Actée Rouge, Seuil Optique, Sauges, Mesce Basse.
