This site features my "shows" and digitized mix tapes. Some started out on cassettes. Two were made by students. As I share in my forthcoming book Teaching Public History in Alabama: About (Public Face), which Routledge published in 2024, when I was a child, my grandmother gave me a red cassette player. I was in sixth grade. It was 1978. I made my first mix tape then. My teacher took it away. When we were at recess, I saw him listening to my mix. He liked it! For more, see my 2025 book.
