I trained as a recording engineer in a great little studio in East London in a building shared with the magazine Dazed and Confused.
My first credit was as the engineer on The Ballistic Brothers vs The Eccentric Afros. We made the whole album is just 2 intense days. Me, Rocky, Diesel, Ashley with Ushi Classon. I worked with hundreds of artists and remixers at the studio.
I started my own career as an artist in 1993 with the release of El Metro by Disco Volante (Me and Lawrence Cooke) and we released 30 singles under various artist names, including Floorplay and Mobile Bitch
I set up Transient Records - in 1994. Transient released 70 singles and 50 albums selling a million copies worldwide.
I then moved into e-commerce setting up Recordstore.co.uk in 1998, then working for EMI, UMG runnging their global D2C business
