@rosie-suzanne @Jazzmo when you start seeing titles that include the words “4-hands”, you have to stand in Awwe, and rethink every judgement you ever had about music. These were absolutely incredible.
@donald-santoro yes very incredible... I forgot which track I down loaded last night and I was in tears...🎶🎶🌹
@rosie-suzanne 4 fuckin’ hands ? You must bow in total silence and kiss the ring of these musical Gods.
@rosie-suzanne I can NOT imagine writing MASTERPIECES (we ain’t talkin’ about nursery rhymes here) that have 4 hands playing the script, AT THE SAME FUCKIN’ TIME !!!!! And, the work product is so great, the WHOLE WORLD reveres, honors and rewards it for centuries after the creators are dead. Am I enamored with musicians (no talent morons) of today, I think not. Bach ain’t on the fuckin’ beatport. Here endeth the lesson.

@donald-santoro Donald Santoro, amazing commentary!
I love my classical music too, and I fully agree—I'm still waiting for Bach on Beatport!
That fantastic passion truly elevates my day. Thank you for the lesson! 🎶🤣
@Jazzmo @Jazzmo It appears you know Donald well and I have total respect for him ... He is a man of great knowledge and he walks to the beat of his own drum... Bach will never be on Beatport to the best of my knowledge... @donald-santoro you might have knowledge of this... @Jazzmo there are many ways to find his tracks on the internet .. Use Chatgp and you would be surprised at all available... Wishing you a great night with family.... Kind regards, Suzanne🎹
@donald-santoro @donald-santoro always in awe at what these geniuses left us with -and now I wonder how many have ever walked into a symphony theater, and sat for hours listening to these classics being played by musicians who have dedicated their lives to keeping this genre alive and never forgotten...🙌🎹❤️🎼

@donald-santoro @donald-santoro I learned on an upright piano and had one... It's been long gone.. In girls school I had no choice but to take piano lessons... I have seen those magnificent pianos used by the professionals up close and personal... They are out of this world! Such craftsmanship! Geniuses ... I feel like we have more knuckleheads these days... I will answer the evolution stuff in my mind, shortly ... At least the cavemen are no longer hunting in the wild for food and dragging the women by their hair to .....🧐 P.S. Multitasking currently...
@rosie-suzanne Yes we are. Dragging the woman by their hair, as it were.
Here’s a harp performance you shan’t forget

@donald-santoro @donald-santoro thank God I am hiding away ! No close encounters of any kind and it will remain so ... 😂🤣 OMG she literally slayed it .. A very intense , talented and passionate performance... WOW! ❤️❤️❤️.. P.S. I can't think of her getting angry, she would be effective in total elimination...🤣😂
@rosie-suzanne I didn’t know I couldn’t pull hair anymore, am I going to jail?
@donald-santoro @donald-santoro magnificent , thanks for sharing .... ❤️❤️❤️
@donald-santoro @donald-santoro didn't know you are into hair pulling.🧐. Just maybe there are some that enjoys that type of play...😂😳 If you said oil pulling then that is a great practice... 😂😂
@rosie-suzanne What’s that ?
@donald-santoro @donald-santoro check my page...
@rosie-suzanne Does it have anything to do with cavemen?
@donald-santoro @donald-santoro oil pulling is an Ayurvedic practice that was said to pull toxins from the body but of course it is not recognized by traditional taking pills for everything system...
@donald-santoro @donald-santoro no not at all... 🤣
@rosie-suzanne Whewww !! No jail time ? Great news !! Then I shall continue to drag women by their hair.
@rosie-suzanne Plus, they better not be wearing a wig. If they are, they can stay outside the cave with the rest of the hyenas.
@donald-santoro @donald-santoro we know you have a sense of humor like no one else, therefore we will not let anyone take offense to this - in prehistoric times the cavemen per the books did especially if some mammoth was about to destroy them...It was an act of saving what they could during that era... Many are not into history, therefore we don't want anyone taking anything out of context here... I know your a gentleman in all ways... The watchers here are on high alert to destroy ...
@donald-santoro @donald-santoro 😂🤣.. You had me choking on my water...The hyenas during that time were bigger than lions. The fossil record shows over 80 species including the Giant short -faced hyena ; this massive species lived from the late Miocene to the the Middle Pleistocene ( about 5.33- 0.5 million years ago) and was the larges hyena to have ever lived, reaching the size of a lioness... There is the Cave hyenas, Arctic hyenas, and much more.. Hyenas were once one of the most successful and diverse carnivore families on Earth, with their lineage stretching back as far as 16-17 million years ago...I for one, definitely would not and could not liver during those times..
@rosie-suzanne Yes, a sense of humor is a learned behavior. Wait, are you saying they didn’t learn humor ?
@rosie-suzanne Damn right !!!! That shit is funny and you know it (clap ya hands)
@rosie-suzanne I fully agree on the respect for Donald’s deep knowledge! (but don't let him know)
We were just joking about Bach on Beatport, but I am definitely glad the music is so easily found.
Thank you! 🙌
But it was a great session for listening on my end, thanks again for the upload :)
@rosie-suzanne I’ve been thinking about this. Ya know, the “watchers” you mentioned. I have never known any of those types. There’s a book, one that we all agreed upon, no matter where in the world you might be. It is written in every language AND it has every word in it that has been included in the speech of humans. This book has a name. I didn’t create the book, don’t blame me, it’s called the dictionary. This is the agreed upon language. I can use it, anyone can use it, anytime, anywhere and in any way they wish. In the event they choose a word not in the book (dictionary), it will require more explanation.
@rosie-suzanne Let me make sure I don’t misunderstand “the watchers” terminology. “Watchers” who have Ill Intentions are not called “watchers”. If they are “on high alert to destroy” that’s illegal. That’s means it’s a crime, and it comes with penalties. Mostly “watchers” of this kind would be called “stalkers”. Naturally, I may have misunderstood. Shown below is my understanding of the term:
In modern English, a person who watches others with ill intent is typically called a stalker.
Depending on the context, other terms might be used:
Voyeur: Someone who obtains sexual pleasure from observing others, especially naked or having sex, often secretly.
Creep or weirdo (informal): Slang terms for a person who is strange or whose behavior (including watching others) makes people feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
Predator: A person who targets or exploits vulnerable individuals, often for criminal or sexual purposes.
Cyberstalker: Someone who uses electronic communication to stalk or harass an individual.
Harasser: A person who subjects someone to hostile or an unpleasant watch or control.
Fantastic!
I truly enjoyed the journey through these beautiful melodies.
The set is truly amazing!
I find this calm atmosphere incredibly refreshing this morning. Thank you! 🙌
Will take this to work and listen some more :)
No caffe’ for you today. Try some Cedrata Tassoni, or even Gazzosa.

Gnossienne No. 1, Lent was composed by the French composer and pianist Erik Satie. He wrote the piece in 1890, and it was first published in 1893.
The title "Lent" is a French tempo marking, simply meaning "slow". Characteristic of his Gnossiennes and Gymnopédies, the music is written without time signatures or bar lines and features simple, unconventional harmonies and rhythms that evoke an exotic or ancient feel.
@rosie-suzanne The piece "Gnossiennes No. 1 - Lent" was written by the French composer Erik Satie. The performance by pianist Lang Lang is a recording of Satie's original composition.
Composer: Erik Satie, a French composer of the late 19th century.

Composition: The piece is one of a series of six piano compositions by Satie known as the Gnossiennes.
@donald-santoro @donald-santoro many thanks for your time, and of course you are the "Master Builder' which makes each experience very special in all ways... Have a wonderful night .. Kind regards always, Suzanne🎶✨
The instrument evolved over millennia from the musical bow in multiple ancient civilizations, with the earliest known evidence coming from ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt around 3000 BCE.
Key information regarding the earliest harps:
Origins in Mesopotamia The earliest known actual surviving stringed instruments, the Lyres of Ur (sometimes referred to as the Harps of Ur), date back to between 2600 and 2400 BCE in Sumer (modern-day Iraq). These were excavated from royal tombs and featured exquisite craftsmanship with gold, silver, and shell inlay.
Ancient Egypt Wall paintings in ancient Egyptian tombs depict bow-shaped harps as far back as 3000 BCE. These early instruments were simple, without a forepillar (the vertical support column found in modern harps), and varied in size, sometimes reaching up to two meters in height.
Evolution from the Musical Bow It is widely believed that the harp was developed from the hunter's musical bow, when people realized the plucked string made a musical sound. The addition of a resonator and more strings led to the development of the first harps.
Widespread Development Harps or similar stringed instruments appeared independently in different regions, including ancient Iran (Persia), India, and China, with distinct regional variations emerging.
Imagine you got a Harp !!!!
Then thousands of years later some Italian guy makes a piano
Who invented the piano - History and Origin | Luxury Pianos Inc.The first known pianos were created by Bartolomeo Cristofori, an Italian instrument maker, around the year 1700. Frustrated with the lack of volume control in the harpsichord, Cristofori developed a new mechanism that used hammers to strike the strings, allowing for both soft ("piano") and loud ("forte") sounds, a principle that is still the basis for modern pianos.
Who he was: Cristofori was an expert harpsichord maker employed by the Medici family in Florence, Italy, where he was responsible for the care of their musical instruments.
The innovation: His key invention was a hammer action that could strike the string without getting stuck, unlike the plucking mechanism of a harpsichord. This allowed the player to control the volume by how hard they pressed the key.
Original name: He called his invention the "clavicembalo col piano e forte," which translates to "harpsichord with soft and loud," later shortened to "pianoforte" and then simply "piano".
Legacy: Cristofori's design was a major technical achievement, and the fundamental mechanism of his invention remains central to all modern pianos.
@donald-santoro @donald-santoro love this...🙌🎹❤️
@donald-santoro I was up researching thank you ... Growing up History was one of my favorite, therefore I had many books that I enjoyed ... One of my favorite series "The Clan Of The Cave Bear." I studied further as I time flew by and yes, fascinated by how far we have evolved... Many thanks....🙌
@rosie-suzanne Tell me, what fascinates you by how are we have evolved ?
Imagine your a musician in an orchestra, the conductor hands out the script (sheet music), you take 1 look at the sheets, flipping pages, panicking because you know that this rehearsal will go on for months, the conductor then says over the microphone, “Good evening to all my musicians here for rehearsal tonight, may I remind you not to rush, this piece took Mozart 15 years to write”. Just shoot me
@donald-santoro I met a very famous Conductor while on a trip to NYC and he told me many stories .... This takes discipline, dedication, passion and much more... Ha ha you are too funny ... 🌹😃

The "Sicilienne" for 4-hands was originally written by Johann Sebastian Bach, transcribed for two pianos by Guy Maier, and a different, more famous "Sicilienne" is by Gabriel Fauré, which has been arranged for 4-hands by various composers. If the question refers to Bach, Guy Maier is the arranger for the two-piano version. If it refers to the more widely known piece, the composer is Gabriel Fauré, with arrangements available for different levels of difficulty.
Johann Sebastian Bach
Original work: The original composition is from a flute sonata, arranged for two pianos, four hands by Guy Maier.
Arranger: Guy Maier.
The original "Sicilienne" was composed by Gabriel Fauré. He wrote it as incidental orchestral music in 1893, and later arranged it for cello (or violin) and piano in 1898 as his Op. 78.
The version for "four-hands" (piano duet, on one or two pianos) is an arrangement made by other musicians, as Fauré's original was not for that instrumentation.
Notable arrangers for the four-hands version include:
Timothy Brown
Gregory Millar
Geoffrey Carroll
Guy Maier (for two pianos, four hands)
Ned Rorem (for two pianos, four hands)
Fauré himself was a prolific composer of piano music, including the famous Dolly Suite for piano four-hands, but the Sicilienne was originally an orchestral piece.
@donald-santoro thank you much... 🌹
Claude Debussy wrote the original version of "Clair de lune" in 1890, but he significantly revised the piece before it was finally published in 1905.
Key details about the composition:
Part of a Suite: "Clair de lune" is the third movement of Debussy's four-movement piano suite titled Suite bergamasque.
Original Title: The movement was initially called "Promenade sentimentale". Debussy changed the name to "Clair de lune" (French for "moonlight") shortly before its 1905 publication.
Inspiration: The title was inspired by the poem of the same name by French poet Paul Verlaine. Debussy had previously set this same poem to music as a song for voice and piano in an earlier work.
Imagine 15 years to publish. Kids today can’t remember 3 minutes ago.
@donald-santoro I am all research out... Thanks for your wide knowledge base.... You are the man!🙌
