My design career really started in high school when I won nationals with a comic book I wrote and illustrated. (Ninjas, naturally.) Shortly after enrolling in the University of Michigan, I switched (to my parents’ utter horror) from pre-med to design. I’ve been hooked ever since. I still do some painting, but my fascination with the electronic arts runs deeper as the possibilities expand. Music and pop culture are big influences for me, as are Neville Brody, David Carson, Peter Saville and Vaughn Oliver.
I’m also still into comic books, but please don’t hold that against me.
