As a 90’s kid in the UK Midlands, I dived into the underground rave scene and got swept up in the house music revolution. I moved to Leeds in the mid-90s, when the Northern club scene exploded, and headed to London in the early 00’s, where I stayed.
While in Leeds, I started DJing vinyl on 1200’s, and got deep into the scene there, performing at some big venues, and many, nuts, house parties. Continued DJing in London, but now do mostly live broadcasts (eg Trick or Beat collective) for fun, rather than clubs, sadly!
Started off DJing vocal, bouncy and trancey house, but found hard house and techno was my sweet spot. Still love great house, but tend towards the faster and harder end. My tastes, and collection, range from hip hop, breakbeat and DnB, to disco and most types of dance music, which is why my sets are often a bit eclectic.
Still can’t get enough of listening to dance music, and always get a huge buzz from DJing, especially for live audiences.
