The founder of Revel, Rah aka Noradawn, has a nomadic spirit and has lived many places in her life. She was born in Alberta and spent part of her childhood in Florida and Columbia, South America. She currently lives in a forest on the edge of the South Okanagan Valley and spends time between her home there and Vancouver, BC.
She has been a DJ for over 25 years…first touching the decks in 1999 and then first playing out in 2000. With a focus on DnB and Jungle she loves to weave the various musical influences that have shaped her throughout her sets. Her sound ranges from heavy and deep to smooth and light, from minimal stripped breaks to harmonic cascading rhythms that she occasionally layers with various melodies and vocals. With an upbringing playing classical piano and having immersed herself in various musical genres throughout her life, her musical knowledge is deep and with it she weaves these various threads of sound into a new story.
