Chicago, Illinois, United States
Created in a warehouse loft on the west side of Chicago in 2003, Plate C Studios became the moniker of a DJ collective led by a couple of guys originally from Milwaukee, a city 90 miles north of what is arguably the birthplace of house music. Marshall & Tripple JJJ embarked upon hosting a weekly three hr webcast from the studio; 90 mins of resident mixing showcasing the latest underground house of the era followed a 90 min guest DJ mix. The concept started as a locally broadcast show called “Lovelee Thursdays”; in 2005, the show was picked up for global distribution on Netmusique.com, one of the pioneers of internet radio broadcasting and it then became known as “Good Housekeeping". This is a collection of many of the sets that were captured over the ~3 years of broadcasting the show and contains an encyclopedia of house music from an era of the genre before auto-sync, key lock, and laptop DJ culture. We hope you will enjoy listening to these as much as we enjoyed producing them.
