Rufus discovered Northern Soul at his local youth club in Musselburgh in the early 70s. As time went on, he was taken under the wings of more experienced Soulies and ventured down to Wigan Casino where his love affair with the music was sealed. An avid collector, his hoard of rare vinyl takes you back in time with classic records that featured at Wigan, Blackpool Mecca, Cleethorpes and Clouds. His prized possessions include tracks by Garnet Mimms, Mickey Lanay, Eddie Parker and Gladys Knight. When he’s not dj-ing, you’ll find him on the floor, lost in the music.
