Throughout my childhood in Russia and the confusing process of morphing into an American that followed, classic trance has always been the constant that has given me the mental and emotional boost we all sometimes need. I do enjoy a lot of today's trance (esp. tech trance) as well as techno and house. Unfortunately, it seems all electronic genres these days mostly consist of productions that sound like they were made following a youtube tutorial. Techno seems to have made it longest without slipping, but I think its close too. In my biased opinion, classic trance was not tainted by this same ghost producing that is happening in trance scene now. I think the proper classic trance sound is slowly coming back, which is super exciting considering how far production has come since 2005 :) Best production tools + classic trance vibes = heaven.
