Matthew J. became interested in electronic music at the early age of 11 years old when he was introduced to music by Massive Attack, Orb, Underworld, Chemical Brothers, and William Orbit. Having been electronically influenced at that early stage in his life has left a hunger for exploring the industry even more when he hit his teens.

MJ was very inspired by the mid 90s house, epic/dream house, techno, and melodic trance coming from San Francisco, LA, Miami, New York and especially all that was going on in Europe at that time.

Today he still rates guys like Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Danny Tenaglia & BT as some of his biggest inspirations for becoming a DJ.
