DJ Mikey Fuentes first discovered his passion for house music from his older brother David, whose vast collection of mix tapes were his introduction to these new sounds. At 16 years old, Fuentes' first nightlife experience immediately sparked his obsession with legendary New York clubs like The Tunnel, Vinyl, Limelight and Twilo. The DJ's at these venues would become influential to his knowledge of house music.
A native New Yorker and avid traveler Fuentes has not only been exposed to but continues to absorb global and multi-cultural sounds, which resonates through all of his sets and mixes. These experiences have enabled him to develop an exquisite ear for music.
Fuentes believes in breaking barriers between sounds by seamlessly intertwining New York underground dance music with disco, garage, house, funk and soul. His effortless use of samples, diverse track selections and technical ability lends to a flawless mix of rhythms that erupt into uncontrollable movement.
