My brother Mazama took me to my first rave when I was 15 - 1992. I fell in love with the community, music, and dancing. We were mainly into acid jazz, hardcore, deep house, jungle and drum and bass. I saw Moby spin a set in 1993 at warehouse in SouthEast DC at the original Buzz Club. We frequented all the weekly parties in DC and Baltimore from the early to late90s. Two of my best friends and I briefly threw a Drum and Bass weekly in DC in 1998- LowKey. I got into downtempo stuff in the late 90s. I've enjoyed DJing as a creative outlet and as a way of being only aware of what is happening in the moment. I continue to love the music and the creative and accepting culture that surrounds it.
