Mavis Acquah is an artist/DJ from Amsterdam with Ghanian and Indonesian roots.
In 2009 Mavis wrote the club hit “Step By Step”, produced by Laidback Luke and Gregor Salto which hit the American charts. Over the years many releases followed like 'Hold me Now' - SirOJ, 'Trust' - Tank & Cheetah on Mixmash Label and 'Words' - Ferreck Dawn on Spinning Label.
She shared the stage with big names in the dance industry such as Afrojack, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, Frankie Rizardo and renowned artists like Candy Dulfer and Alain Clark.
Now Mavis is connecting the dots, creating the perfect mix of her African roots and musical influences. She's currently working on new material which will capture all of these styles.
On stage she's a one man band, pumping infectious Afro-Beats while infusing it with her soulful vocals.
