Matty Harris aka The Narcoleptic, began spinning in 1986, but it wasn't until he moved from the suburbs to the city of Chicago in the early 90's that he found his true calling in the underground scene. Finally, after a lot of hard work and dedication, he earned himself a residency at smart bar's Tuesday night party, "Pump", where his dear friends Derrick Carter, Miles Maeda and Terry Martin also played host to many up and coming All stars. When"Pump" came to a conclusion, Matty became a part of "The" thriving urban clubscene. With residencies all over the city of Chicago ,and playing with top players such as Derrick Carter, D.J. Sneak , Mark Farina, Diz, and the list continues.
Currently, Matty's commitments are to his studio as well as playing music. He has released compositions on Classic Music Co., Kwench, Savvy Recordings, Boutadé, Jump Recordings, Planet Scratch, Loveslap,and Leftroom , plus many others under his moniker, The Narcoleptic.
