Manchild AKA Daz Manchild Smith is a Greater Manchester based DJ, born and bred in Oldham.
Comfortable playing multi-genre at any time, whether it be warmup, peak or closing, Manchild will always be sure to deliver. After playing tech house and minimal for so long, he has in recent times fallen back in love with progressive house, melodic, and everything in between, and his versatility allows him to flit seamlessly between all of the above.
After many years away from DJing, Manchild got back into it with a bang in 2019. After bringing himself up to date with modern technology with the help of Lisa Lashes, Rob Tissera, BK (Tuff London), Murphy's Law, Joey Riot and others, he hit the ground running.
In a short period of time, he has gone on to support his idol Anthony Pappa, Jody Wisternoff (Way Out West) and Dave Beer (Back to Basics), as well as playing at Ministry of Sound on the same lineup as Shadow Child and Vanilla Ace after winning a DJ comp.
Then COVID-19 came along.....
