Enjoying those unforgettable and timeless sounds such as the likes of Todd Terry's take on 'Missing' by Everything But The Girl, and Alison Limerick's 'where love lives' in the early nineties could only be words of the truth. However, actually getting to understand house music, it's concept, it's mysteries and its many sub-genere's came together in time. Such awareness has been helped with it's long term advocates such as Pete Tong and his famous long term committments to the scene and even the likes of Boy George who has also kept his foot in the underground along with his documented success in the mainstream.
Going to Ibiza in 2008 really played it's part in the overwhelming. At a young age of 18 it was difficult not to get hooked to this somewhat darker take on disco. Repetitive 4/4 beats yet so diverse and charming. It felt like the Island was speaking a universival language through its expression of house. And here I will upload my own interpretations, enjoy.
