Background? My music history is that my father was a Broadway musician who trained at The Juilliard School in New York City. I was rasied literally backstage at his gigs. He played in hits like Porgy & Bess, The Wiz, A Little Night Music, Madame Butterfly and so much more! I got a mix of classical, musicals and Americana folk music growing up -- but gravitated toward rock & pop music from an early age. I never learned to play an instrument myself, but I did inherit my father's entertaining personality, and back-in-my-day I would occasionally take to the stage to perform poetry I've wrote.
