while making income through pushing as a teenager, LJJ invested in Vinyl. Mostly rap but reggae and funk and jazz as well. rap soon became more interesting because of the b-sides. so for a few years he was making mixes with acapellas on different instrumentals and those instrumentals would then cross into the original of the sample or another song using same material...spreading tapes and mixes through friends and such- these became incresingly popular. LJJ started Djing in highschool during lunchbreaks with speakers to the schoolyard powerd by the schoolsdirector. After finishing highschool he went to South Africa and then on to the Netherlands. While still 16 or 17 but older looking at the time, LJJ apperad regulary mixing in local coffeeshops and bars with a mix of Rap, Jazz, HipHop, TripHop, Reggae, Brokenbeat, Downbeat etc. Still strictly Vinyl! when 18 he moved to his town of birth-Cologne Germany to rock on. LJJ now lives between Zurich, Switzerland and Paris, France.
