Kenji Hidaka was born and raised in Kumamoto, Japan. As a teenager he relocated to Melbourne, Australia to study dance. It was here that Kenji discovered an early love for soul, disco, jazz, and bossa beats. He spent many happy hours scouring the record shops of Melbourne and soon started throwing parties of his own, building his reputation as a cross genre tune selector.

Known as a spontaneous and versatile artist, Kenji effortlessly switches between genres and grooves. His passion for underground music, nu-disco and deep, bouncing house sounds oozes through his sets, creating unique soundscapes, setting the atmosphere for any event or party.

Kenji is also well known for his legendary lounge sets, crafted with a prodigious flair, which take listeners on a musical journey through time, featuring forgotten treasures of the past fused with a modern funk perspective.
